Hello! I’m a portrait photographer expressly interested in capturing authentic moments of connection within a photo. It could be between the people in the photo or between the subject and the observer. No matter what, you know it when you see it and I fully live for it. You can probably call what I do documentary style, storytelling photography, or editorial portraits.

Authenticity is the goal, but that doesn’t mean we’re only shooting candid moments. Many times we will be telling a story together by creating situations and poses while capturing the results. Your smiles, joy, passion, and love will all be present and real.

I’m an easygoing photographer, but I am positively buzzing when there’s lots of energy in a session. I work well with children and families, being a dad to three kids myself. They don’t want to smile, I get it. We’ll try to fix it together with humor and patience.

I invite as much creativity as possible into our time together. I adore bouncing ideas around a room. No suggestion is too absurd or silly. Let’s capture it all.

My passion lies in film photography. I do shoot film upon request, but more often I use a digital camera for convenience and cost. That said, I prefer to edit my digital photos to emulate my favorite types of film, giving them a look that appears lost out of time.
